Leo Tolstoy's monumental masterpiece, in Fedor Shili's dramatisation and the masterful direction of Boris Liješević, comes to life on the Grand Stage of the National Theatre in Belgrade. This production is not merely a stage adaptation of the novel — it is a profound search for meaning, God, love and truth in times when the waves of history brutally toy with human destinies.

Ivan Bosiljčić plays the title role of Count Pierre Bezukhov — a character who, through his inner struggles, poses Tolstoy's essential question: why are we in this world? Notably, Ivan made his debut in this extraordinarily demanding role before a Russian audience, during a guest performance at the celebrated Alexandrinsky National Drama Theatre in Saint Petersburg in September 2023, after which he continued to play the role with undiminished passion before Belgrade audiences.
