Our Evening

This musical performance is an actor's confession coloured by original guitar arrangements, the sounds of fado and Gypsy music, and anthological verses by the greatest poets of all time. Ivan Bosiljčić, beyond his dramatic work, has years of experience in musical theatre, is the recipient of numerous awards, and is known for dozens of successful television roles.

The programme of the musical-poetry evening combines various art forms, including arrangements of popular musical themes from the 1960s to the present day. Film music, former-Yugoslav evergreens and contemporary pop music, interwoven with poetry by celebrated Serbian and international poets — Šantić, Rakić, Antić, Arsen Dedić, Yesenin and Baudelaire — performed by outstanding musicians, give this poetry evening the drama of a theatrical performance and the musical quality of a concert.

Ivan has been engaged with musical-poetry theatre since 2009. Over the course of his career, he has created acclaimed original projects including "Love Is Just a Word", "Reveries" and "A Few Verses for Us". The crown of his work to date is the original project "Our Evening", which premiered in 2021. This performance attracted extraordinary public attention, and over the course of just five theatre seasons it was seen by over 100,000 audience members.
